le sigh..
I was hoping to get started on a mural in my friend's new apartment today. But, I gots no idea where he is. So, here's more drawings instead!--->
A piece from a few months ago. We were working on shading techniques in my drawing 101 class.
Link, from Zelda. One of my most favorite video game characters. Work in Progress... We'll see how far I take it. It might even get colored!
Something I did a few days ago. I saw some guy with almost this exact pose. He was intensely studying the bulletin board at work. Anyways, I kind of made this up based on that guy.
A really simple line art doodle. I think he kind of looks like Zac Efron. Not my intention though hahaha.

100 faces- #1, #2, #3, and #4
So, I had a blog before this one of which I've given up on. I've never been great at journaling and this is another version of it that I couldn't keep up with. The only thing I've stayed consistent with is drawing. Doodling, sketching, it's my best and most favorite pasttime. Here are the first pictures of my first project on my first sketchblog! Cheers to the number "first"!
Yes, yes... I know Alice's normally stylish hair is poofy on top. I rushed it a lot at the end because I'd been focusing on her face so much. Besides, it was a present for my mom. She probably didn't even notice.
This leans more towards my style of realism, where it still retains a somewhat cartoon-y or surreal kind of look. It was meant to be my version of Edward Cullen.
The second realism portrait I've ever done. Alice was the first. I think I've already improved. I really, really love the way his eyes turned out. (Oh please, oh please say this is recognizable as Dali?)
Just a doodle that turned into creating a Greco-awesome border.

Moustache party!
So, I have been known to rock moustaches on occasion. (Who hasn't?)
Recently, my affinity for wearing fake facial hair has sprung a wondrous idea in my head... Why not, for my birthday party, have a moustache/hat-wearing/cheesy dance music/beach party??
I have goofy enough friends that will absolutely fall in love with the idea!
And we could all use a good moustache/hat-wearing picture.
Besides, I only live 45 minutes from the awesome Atlantic!
Be jealous. *wink*

Lineage.
"SNYDER" (from the German, SCHNEIDER)- One who makes outer garments; a tailor. From the German verb "schneiden," meaning to cut. SCHNIEDER is a German variant spelling, while SNYDER, SNIDER, and SNEIDER are Dutch spellings of this surname.
I've found my calling in life! Kidding. I LOVE to sew and make things but, it's hardly my forte and it isn't what I wish to do for a living. Although, I would certainly love to keep it as a hobby!
Now, I have many MANY patterns. But, I'm (perhaps unfortunately?) a fan of "winging" it. My ultimate plans for the summer are to complete several sewing endeavors which may or may not include--->
A VERY 50's dress.
Perhaps a skirt or vest or bag made out of one of the yummy floral patterned fabrics by Liberty of London.
And various pillows but, I'm most excited about attempting an animal pillow or two! Isn't he just adorable? *le sigh*

Sweet Tooth
My beauteous apple pie... YUM. I tried out a new crust recipe which, left it exceedingly pale until I broiled some sugar on top. So, it's a perfect crust (minus the natural brownness) and it has that golden glow to it... I couldn't be prouder!
Well, once I start baking, it's hard to stop, ya see?
Jammy thumb cookies. And they're pink.
Delicious...
and unrepatable. Since, I tend to make up recipes. Especially when it comes to cookies.
I made them for my parents anniversary today.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MUMMY AND DAD!

Castles.
Once again, I've planned my wedding. Over the years my color palatte has morphed from blue and green, to purple, green, and brown. I've discovered that there are a lot more flowers I love with a purple color scheme; and that's fine by me.
FOR EXAMPLE--->
---lavender---
---hydrangeas---
---asters---
Pretty, huh?
I like the idea of chocolate brown being my base. Pretty pics to inspire my reception... Although, there will definitely be MORE green, and bits of purple. Sheer ribbons and tall candles and twinkle lights... *le sigh
I've always loved the idea of an outdoor reception underneath a canopy of twinkle lights... *le sigh again
My ACTUAL wedding (here's the kicker) will be in a castle. I don't know which one exactly but, since I'm LDS (Mormon), I believe in eternal marriage, that can only be achieved through the exchanging of vows within an LDS temple. Thankfully, they're located all over the world!
So many to choose from...

Tippy-Toes
Don't you just love ballet?
It's one of the most beautiful talents. I hope that someday I can take classes.
My friend Reba was in a ballet last night. She performed in a small group, although, she clearly outshone every other girl with her mile-long legs... *sigh...
At the end of the performance, her sister, Tabbi, won a scholarship to the same ballet school and will be taking ballet classes all next year. She'd make a lovely ballerina alongside Reba. I couldn't be happier for them!
Well... Maybe I can always get myself some ballet slippers and MAKE my own tutu. TEEHEE!
Until tomorrow! My laptop has gone kapoot. AND I have a family yardsale to attend to!

Under Attack!! (Insects aren't my thing)
Hate bugs? Yeah. Me too.
I'm a girl.
We just do that.
THANKFULLY! Some genius invented THIS--->
The one, the only... BUG VACUUM!
It's a strong little sucker (pun intended) for all those creepy crawlies. It's my new boyfriend. Well, old boyfriend... I've had it for a few years. Apparently our love has been rekindled in this season of insects.
I was also thinking recently... What sorts of bugs do I actually like?
o butterflies
o dragonflies
o lightning bugs (fireflies)
o ants (yes, I said ants! They work so hard..)
o praying mantises
o earthworms
o and the bumble's! Hunnybees that is.
Top ten list of most HATED crawlies?
1. any and all spiders!
2. mosquitoes
3. earwigs
4. any sort of spineless insect outside of earthworm. ie-- leeches, tapeworms, slugs, etc.
5. wasps
6. crickets and grasshoppers (they're pretty much the same thing)
7. anything that flies, outside of the one's I like. ie-- blackflies, houseflies, flying ants, moths, horseflies, etc.
8. ticks
9. termites
10. ladybugs (Thaaaat's right! And if you disagree, it's because you've never dealt with an infestation! Hordes! They come in stinking hordes!)

Things I NEED...
THIS TAYLOR JACQUARD SHEATH DRESS!!!--->
<---Me
<---Nordstrom model
Funny how we have the same skin tone... Also, note that I am obviously shorter and MUCH curvier than her. Anyways, I LOVE this dress.
THIS DREAM HOME--->
No, I'm serious. It's a hobbit house. And it rocks my world!!
Inspiration comes from this house that I've driven by several times a month, for the past 14 years, AND from the book, By The Banks of Plum Creek from the Little House on the Prairie series.
THIS BOOKCASE--->
What better to display my knick-knacks and extensive book collection with?
THIS MAHOGANY CHAISE--->
I always fancy a nap... And who can resist a lovely Victorian piece of furniture?
THIS VEHICULAR OBJECT--->
Ahhh... I can already smell the open road. The interior, of course, will be gypsy-fied with sheer, beaded curtains, a comfy sofa, many books, various tea essentials, and my guitar... of which, will one day be strung and played. ^^

Material Girl.
So, I ran across a project of mine from a little waays back... Fused plastic-bag bag. It was one of the most interesting things I'd created in a long time.
This is the link I used for instruction:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oddEWnj7X0
Although the directions are for making a laptop case, this was the simplest step by step fusing process I could find. I ended up making it up as I went along to create my handbag pattern but, I was pleased with the results. Considering I had no clue what I was doing!
It was a FABULOUS project and I really want to make another tomorrow. I'm going to have to brainstorm tonight, for a new (and better) pattern.
Oh, how I wish, I wish it'll be as cute as THESE!--->
I'll post pictures tomorrow of what I come up with AND le original!
Aaaand I'm off to watch the new Shrek movie with the family!
BON VOYAGE!
